Happy Halloween!

I can't believe it's been over a year already since last Halloween! I didn't do much this year, unfortunately. I'd hoped to at least go to a haunted house again but my poor brother (whose birthday falls on Halloween) was taken to the hospital the day before his birthday and found out he has gallstones and may need surgery for them. What awful pre-birthday news >:( So, any plans of him celebrating being welcomed into the world of 21 were dashed and he just had his normal birthday festivities. Instead, I just celebrated my brother's birthday at home and briefly took my niece trick-or-treating in the neighborhood with my sister.
I went as Poison Ivy this year and it's a huge step up from the last time I was her for Halloween lol. This was actually intended to be a cosplay so I did make it. Halloween is a good time for a trial runs on home made costumes too, right?
Like, I learned washing my wig the night before was a huge mistake because doing so brought back a lot of the shine that I had styled out of it and I didn't have enough time on Halloween to fix that. I learned that I probably need a better sealer on my hands for my pan-cake makeup but I'm still glad I opted for Pan-Cake over PAX paint, as it was still hard to get off of everywhere else, especially areas that also had spirit gum on them where I glued down leaves and vines.

I also burned my left middle finger while adding a final touch of leaves to my shoes the night before. It still hurts as I type this...and I only got one semi-decent picture of them. If I ever do wear this to a con, I'm switching out wedge heels for flats because even though I didn't really stand walk too much, my feet were still killing me by the end of the night. I don't know how people wear those all day at cons...or just al day in general but kudos to you! Maybe I just don't have feet built for heels lol but you live and you learn.
Hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween! Looking forward to Thanksgiving now!

Super Bright Red Lenses (and 50% off code Memila50)

Pinky Paradise kindly offered to sponsor a review for Halloween and as I was still on the hunt for some bright red lenses that don't clash with the green in my eyes and show brightly, I happily obliged and chose the Super Bright Red lenses aka Super Pinky Bright Red. You can use my code Memila50 to get 50% on any pair of lenses (excluding toric and sclera lenses, sorry!) until the 31st.
The last red lenses I tried were the EOS Daisy Red, that had a pretty disappointing level of vibrancy. So I was looking for something BRIGHT this time around and boy did I find it!

Let me just say,  I am VERY happy with how frickin' red these are! Up close, at a distance, in natural light, under a flash. They are vibrant and exactly what I've been looking for!
With Flash

Natural Light
The print is that of all the others in in the Super line, so fairly natural looking and not at all cartoonish. They have a good solid level of opacity, so I believe they'd show up well on dark eyes too but I can't say how bright they'd be on darker eyes. Imo, the only thing that would make these lenses perfect would be a small gradient on the pupil opening

They are 15.00 mm so there is still some enlargement but still veering toward the natural (as natural as red eyes can be anyway lol).

The only problem I had with these was trying to figure out what Halloween look would go well with red eyes. I settled on a vampire.

EOS Ice Blue Review

Today's review is for EOS  Ice Blue lenses, courtesy of  LensFlavors. A couple years back, I did a review on the EOS Ice Green lenses and adored them thoroughly. After seeing pictures of the blue version I made a mental note to try them sometime and that time has finally come!
While I still think the pattern is really cool and I like it a lot, I have to admit, I'm not as happy with the blue color as I was with green and it's because my natural color doesn't blend with it very much so I don't get the most out of the pattern like I did with the greens. I just don't get the pop that I think more blue-ish eyes would, if you're eyes are naturally very blue r even on the grey side, you'll probably be as happy with these as I was with the green but I think I personally should have gone for the greys or even browns over the blues this time around. I probably said in my review for the Greens but, again, these are definitely lenses where natural eye color helps determine how these'll look on you. They are not a solid opaque pattern, so a lot is left up to how it blends with your eyes.
Now, don't get me, wrong.I don't think they look bad at all. I just think that to get the most out of what this particular lens print has to offer, it's best to choose colors that blend with your natural eyes. since so much of it is left showing.

P.S: First lens review in a while! Even though it's all ever seem to do on here anymore, ah, sorry if my blog's gotten boring because of it but it used to be a place to try new gal looks. However, since I so rarely do them anymore I don't know what to even post about these days! I haven't done a gyaru look in ages, so excuse my rustiness here. Funny story, I was going for an older look and was trying to remember how I used to do my makeup but I had to look up my own tutorial for a refresher on how to do this (making minor revisions on lashes and lip color)! lol

Geo Euro Celine Green Review

Courtesy of Geo Coloured Lenses I'm reviewing Geolica Euro Celine Green. I gotta say, with each new color I try of this series, I like them more and more. First, I liked the browns better than the blues, then the greys better than the browns and now the greens even better than the greys!

I think the greens and greys suit my natural eye color the best. The green blends nicely into my eyes and no one believed I was wearing lenses until they took a REALLY close look!
Much of the details on this series are the same as my previous reviews or this line, so all I can really comment on is the color difference.

Geolica Euro Celine Grey Review

I said last week that I'd have a review up for the Grey version of the Geolica Euro Celine lenses this week and it turns out that I do in fact posses an iota of follow through!
Again, courtesy of Geo Coloured Lenses these are Geolica Euro Celine Grey.
I said I liked the hazel ones better than the blue ones and now I must say I like the grey ones better than the brown ones!
This shade blends in with natural color almost seamlessly on account of the very subtle orangish yellow band around the inner circle. Comfort is, of course, the same as it was in my first review for this series.

Geolica Euro Celine Pure Hazel Review

First lens review of the new year! I hope everyone had a good holiday season, mine was good, I'm happy to say that I got to utilize the selfie stick and camera remote I got for Christmas in this review.
Today I'm reviewing another color from the Geolica Euro Celine series, courtesy of Geo Coloured Lenses. Today's color is Pure Hazel.
I must say, I like these a lot better than the blue ones, as I suspected I might. While I loved the the shade of blue the Euro Celine Blue's have, I only wished they'd blended in better with my natural eye color, since they're such a natural pattern. These have a lot of green and yellow in them, so they look super natural over my real eye color. I think they're best suited for people going for a natural doe eye, I tried for some simple onee gyaru makeup since I think that's what they'd go best with.
P.S. My bangs are re-trimmed.

For details on these ratings, check out the  review for blue version, since I don't want to risk sounding repetitive here. I will be trying out the grey version of these lenses next week too.
