Everyday makeup.

I decided to break away from the drudgery of recreating gyaru model looks and instead made a video of me just doing my own thing.

I don't do my makeup the same every day (few people do) but this is the look I shoot for most days lately.

This was a lot easier though because I'm really in my own element for once. With the gyrau model looks it's usually my first time trying to make my makeup like someone else's, which is difficult to do. Especially in gyaru makeup where practice is the most important thing any gal can acquire and with all it's little tricks of technique you can only learn from experience. I'd love to perfect and reshoot tutorials for the model's looks I've already done but I just don't have the time. Maybe some day though.

Trying out the looks of gal models is always fun but I think from now on I'd like to do more videos like this and my wig styling one. Where it's more comfortable because the end result doesn't have to be anything other than what I want it be and there's less screw ups. And now at least I have one video of me with pink hair since these are last days of pink.

Fun Weekend

I went to see The Dark Knight Rises on Friday with my brother. We caught the matinee showing and my brother lost his money on the way so I paid for him -_-. The movie was so awesome and I'm so glad I saw it on opening day! To pay me back he gave me two movie passes for next time I want to go and I think I might just go see it again next week...nothing better is really playing atm XD

I was so happy to see Joseph Gordon-Levitt in it since he's one of my favorite actors and he did not disappoint, easily the most likable character in the movie and got much more screen time than I had originally thought he would get. Tom Hardy as Bane was pretty cool and I didn't have any trouble hearing what he was saying like other people were complaining about even AFTER being dubbed over. I won't spoil anything in this post but the ending was everything I could have ever hoped it would be given the context of these movies. I will say Christopher Nolan's Batman films are easily my favorite live action versions to date (go ahead 89 fans, give me hell!). Still do and probably always will prefer the animated movies though.
I just wish I got to see it in a better theater because the one in this town is small and sucks. Even the tickets just look like the bottom of a receipt lol. The abbreviation makes it look like it says "The Dark King" a a glance from far away.

My makeup looked like crap though because it's a million degrees out and humid. I got 4 compliments on my hair though. It looks like cotton candy when it's ratted into buns lol. It was nice to have a weekend to just hangout and relax before classes start up again.

It's time to take these nails off and get some new ones going for next week.
I hope you guys had a nice weekend too!

Long hair is back.

I dyed my extensions all pink now too so I can do some long styles. I'm only dying my 26" extensions because I don't want to dye my better ones and I don't really care if I end up ruining these ones by dyeing them too much but so far they're holding up fine.

I've needed more concealer than usual lately because my allergies are at an all time horrible high. Even with the allergy eye drops my eyes itch like crazy and I can't seem to keep from rubbing them. One day I rubbed them so hard I looked like I had two black eyes the next morning. But at least when I'm wearing my eye makeup and lenses that gives me enough incentive to not rub them haha.
This isn't much of an update I guess but I am happy to have more pink hair now.  I just wanted to update since I was in a rut for a little while after I found out my best friend's mom died on the 12th and I still am very sad about it especially since they live so far away now and there's no way I could make it to the funeral and physically be there for my friend.

Have a happy, healthy and safe week everyone!

Pink Hair! (for a limited time only)

So for July and JUST for July I wanted to dye my hair pink all over.
I still have some bleached streaks in my bangs. Today I really wanted to wear my hair some hair up and some hair down (sorry if that style actually has a name, but if does I never learned but I couldn't find any of my bows! So I made one out of my hair instead XD It's messy, I know, but it was my first try!

After this month I'll probably go back to a tanish color. Having my hair pink underneath was something that I wanted to do for a long time and since I just never got around to dyeing my hair all the crazy colors I wanted to as a teenager it just...I don't know, kind of felt like the last hoorah of my youth, as lame as that sounds.
It kind of reminded me of how all through grade school I wanted to try out for the talent show but I was always too shy. Then year after year passed of me saying "well maybe next year" and before I knew it I was in 6th grade and it was my last chance. Then you get that voice in your head saying "If you're ever going to do this it has to be NOW!" Long story short, me and my best friend danced to Britney Spears "Oops I Did It Again" (yes I still know the dance)lmao but we DID get a standing ovation and it was amazing and I'm so glad I did it! Her aunt and mom gave us flowers, a card and took us out for pizza afterwards. It's one of the few really good memories I have. I know I'm probably going too far in drawing parallels between this and that but who knows I could have lots of good times with my pink hair too.

I found my Tokidoki Ciao Ciao/ Adios shirt in my closet today too. So that was nice because I lost it right after I bought it a looong time ago and only wore it once.

Now all I have to do is find my bows! I may not have bows but I've got tons of flowers! lol
I am the flower queen!

New ice cream/hearts nails.

Gyaru Model Looks Part 4: Rina Sakurai (Sakurina)

Making good on when I said I'd try to update more I did Sakurina inspired makeup.
I really like this heavy eye makeup, light glossy lips and dewy skin look but this much makeup isn't very friendly with this muggy weather we've been having. But I've been a big fan of Sakurina's style for a long time and she is still one of my favorite gal models so I thought it was time to try out her look.

It's been awhile since I did one of these gyaru model looks. I really wish I had used my eyeliner pen instead of gel liner on the bottom, that would've given me a much cleaner line.
Picture the eye makeup is based on.

I've been using tights to mask the bruises on my legs and I think it works well XD It's cool at night now so wearing a jacket is sometimes necessary.

This is also my last post with blonde/pink hair. Next time I update my hair will be pink all over :D YAYY!
Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention in my last post that I tried nail foils for the first time! I like them a lot and they take so much paint work out. I still need to work on not creasing them when I apply them though.

Happy Fourth of July and other updates.

Hello! Long time no post! Nothing new about that I guess but I thought I'd do a fourth of July update.
I did my makeup in accordance with the date.

Red lips, white hair and blue eyes.

My outfit was pretty American too.
I didn't really want to wear shorts today because my legs are covered in bruises (I don't even know how I get so many) but with it being so humid from the rain I'm glad I did.

The weather was sooo nice in the morning though since the clouds were rolling in and the wind was blowing just a little bit. This is my kind of weather. I know I'm probably making too big a deal out of this but we haven't had rain here in so long and one of my favorite things about Arizona is seeing the clouds roll in over the mountains and watching those clouds hover in over a span of desert.
The experience is usually pretty typical. Have a barbecue in the evening and then watch the fireworks after the sun sets. BUT it rained and nobody could really barbecue.
We also got American flag themed Krispy Kreme doughnuts lol.
They are not doughnuts anymore they are freedom cakes!
Luckily the rain died down before nightfall and the fireworks didn't have to be cancelled or anything. My hands wouldn't be steady and we were kind of far away so my pictures came out...well like this :(

Then we went home and FINALLY had dinner.
I hope everyone who celebrated today had a fun time and I'm REALLY going to try to update more often in the up coming months. Ta ta till next post though!
