My New Circle Lenses From Pinky Paradise

This was the first time I ordered from Pinky Paradise I've heard a lot of good things about the store and it's where, I think, most circle lens buyers go to buy them. The ordering process was simple and straightforward just put the items in your basket and checkout using one of payment methods available :D I used the coupon code dtan0914 which, with the purchase of any lenses, gets you a little animal case and a random free gift, it is also a stackable code so however many pairs of lenses you buy that's how many animal cases and gifts you get.

My cases were the hippos and a bears (I think it's a bear anyway lol)
And my free gifts were a hair Velcro bow, that you use to keep your hair out of your face when you do your make up. And a "Collagen Crystal Eye Bag Mask" for reducing dark circles and puffiness under the eyes.

                    On To The Lenses...

Ordered: Aug 18th
Order Confirmed/ Processed: Aug 19th
Received at/ Dispatched from sending Post Office: Aug 24th
Received In the Mail (I used International Registered Mail ): Sept 1st

I ordered a pair of Princess Mimi Chocolate Brown.
Spilled some saline solution by the case oops >.<
Looks kinda pink in the case, huh? I've been wanting a pair of these lenses soooo bad! I've seen several pictures of these on light eyes so the "key hole" concern issue never came up because the first thing I noticed was that they were not opaque and had a "mesh-like" print similar to that of the Geo Nudy series that I love so much. Apart from that the Nudy series and Princess MiMi/Bambi series have little in common though.
These have a noticeable/dark limbal ring and a gradient effect towards the pupil, accompanied by multiple colors as they go inward so they are almost guaranteed to blend well.

They are 15mm making them the biggest lenses I've owned to date. The enlargement is pretty massive but without making you look too alienish. (unless you don't have makeup on but all circle lenses do that when you're bare faced. Which I always am in these circle lens posts XD).
My eyes don't have too much trouble blending with browns as long as there's some gradient towards the pupil but I've even seen these look pretty cool on blue eyes too, so the blendability is noteworthy. I love how well they seem to blend with any eye color. Especially for light eyes because it's not often that a brown lens does and I think it's thanks to that mesh print that is magical for people with light eyes lol.  I had to do a shot from the side to even get my natural color to show at all! ( I do have naturally large pupils though so that may not be the case for everyone)
Also, the comfort is top notch! Can't feel them after they're in and there is just a touch of itchiness directly after they've been put in but that's gone in seconds. However my left eye is rather bloodshot in these pics because I put it in inside out at first O_< bad.
The print can look a little...reptile-like if you catch it the wrong light but the design is still pretty and the color is very nice. I think the way it looks, like any series with a less than opaque print, depends on your natural color as to how it will look on you.

Comfort: 10/10
Design: 9/10
Enlargement: 10/10
Color: 10/10
Overall: 10/10

And a pair of Barbie King Size Circle Brown .
These are some of the most popular circle lenses there are and I've been kinda putting off buying them because I was perfectly happy with my Geo Angel Browns, which are quite similar in color and pattern, and I wasn't ready to break out of my 14mm lens rut just yet lol But now that I wanted something a little larger these seemed like a good choice.
These lenses have a VERY bold limbal ring that sort of ridges inward into the brown color which is very opaque and doesn't show any of your natural color through the print. It also has an abrupt ending point closest to the pupil and no gradient inward so a "key hole" is expected for pretty much everyone except those with the darkest of eyes who's eye color can pass for the pupil from a distance (the effect that circle lenses where originally designed for I believe).
These are 14.5mm so the enlargement factor is definitely there but having just had the Princess MiMi's on made these seem like bush league lenses lol.

Don't get me wrong they're not! But having that direct comparison really puts the difference of 14.5 and 15mm in perspective.

If the key hole look isn't for you and you have light eyes you might wanna pass on these.
They are pretty comfortable, they do have the slight itchiness that takes a few minutes to go away but once it does they are perfectly comfortable except for an occasional twinge. They dry out after a few hours but nothing unbearable that some eye drops can't cure.

Comfort: 8/10
Design: 9/10
Enlargement: 9/10
Color: 10/10
Overall: 9/10

Just for fun here is side by side comparison I put together of 14mm, 14.5mm and 15mm lenses.

  1. It's so great to see the Mimi Chocolate Lenses on light eyes! I'm so glad it blends well :) My first pair of lenses were angel browns, but the key hole look didn't bother me until i got the Mimi apple greens which blended so well! I agree about the reptile look though - with no makeup I look like Rango lol :) xx

  2. I think the Princess MiMi's are gonna be like my next Geo Nudy series where I try to own all the colors XD The Apple Greens and Sesame Grey's are on my wishlist now. Although, I hear the Almond Brown's don't blend well with light eyes :( So I'll probably pass on those. Rango lol Oh my!
